Sept 25
On the road again.....woops, I mean....Ịn the air again. Yes it is that time! Heading back to Vancouver for my last cycle, cycle 6 of chemo. Now donʼt go getting all excited and all.....I still have to go to Vancouver every three weeks, it will just be for shorter periods of time now.
So providing all the results come back in the best way possible, I will continue on the study. I will get randomized by the computer and that will determine if I am to continue on just the study drug that I have been taking - Bevacizumab or if I will also start Mirv, the other study drug.
The flight was full today and very squishy, was not the most comfortable and I ended up with a veggie sandwich....was hoping for roast beef but thatʼs what you get for sitting in the back. But hey, Air North feeds you so really canʼt complain.
This cycle my sister, Miranda will be with me again and my daughter, Kiarra will join me at the end. A big thanks to Jacob and Ralph for supporting me through the last cycle.
Dinner tonight was really good. Roast beef, whipped potatoes and mixed veggies. Tomorrow is salmon night so I think that calls for a night out.
Also ran into a co-worker who is here supporting a family member. It was so good to see her.
Finally was here when they had bingo night. Was lots of fun and we got birthday cake as one of the ladies birthday was today. Neil and Glynis bought the cake and it was a chocolate delight. One of the other ladies here cooked lemon drop style cookies. So good!
Going to do a bit of work and then hit the sac. Thankfully, bloodwork is not until 12:30 so donʼt have to worry about early morning. Just have to be up early for breakfast and then for work.
